Nobody gets more ornery over an injury than a workout maniac like Chris Chelios.
Chelios is likely to miss around six weeks for the Red Wings because of a fractured tibia in his right leg. So what was he doing Thursday morning at the rink?
"I was semi-, kind of, riding the bike with one leg," Chelios said.
He's not supposed to put any weight on his right leg for three weeks. So this is really going to drive him crazy. About the only thing he can do is an upper-body workout along with the one-legged cycling.
"I think the worst part of it is I worked all summer, you train as hard as you can," Chelios said. "I'll find a way. Once I get skating again, it's going to take me two weeks to get my legs. That's the frustrating thing. I can't really do too much strenuous stuff with my legs."
