Center Valtteri Filppula played Tuesday night at Montreal and is scheduled to be in the lineup again tonight at Atlanta.
The back-to-back exhibition games are unusual for a player of Filppula's stature, but they allow him to get back with his regular linemates.
Filppula, who missed the first two exhibitions because of a jammed right thumb, filled in last night for Pavel Datsyuk on a line with Marian Hossa and Tomas Holmstrom.
Tonight, Filppula will be back with Dan Cleary and Mikael Samuelsson.
Datsyuk didn't skate again during a morning practice. He's been out since last Friday because of a sore groin.
