Holmstrom in; McCarty out

As expected and as has been speculated the last 48 hours, Tomas Holmstrom will return to the Red Wings lineup tonight for Game 5.

Holmstrom was on the ice for this morning's skate and he and coach Mike Babcock confirmed Holmstrom will play.

"I don't know (even) if Homer's leg was broken, he wouldn't be playing," Babcock said. "That's just the way it is. Obviously, it's a positive situation. You want to have all your people on deck if you can."

Holmstrom will reunite on a line with Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg, while Dan Cleary returns to a line with Kris Draper and Dallas Drake.

Darren McCarty will be a scratch after playing Saturday in Holmstrom's spot in the lineup.

No other changes, so Chris Chelios remains out, too.
