After Game 3
Impressions of Game 3 (and the series to this point): 1) Those Pittsburgh young stars that looked overmatched and overwhelmed at JLA looked much more sure of themselves here tonight in the lovely (yeah, right) Mellon Arena. But as better as they looked....the Wings still almost won. 2) Great play by Johan Franzen on his goal, and the way he played tonight, what a plus for the Wings if he continues building off this the rest of the series. He would be a difficult match up for the Penguins defense. Franzen didn't miss enough time where conditioning would be a concern. I'll be fascinated as to where Franzen takes and expands his game next season. 3) Don't at all blame Chris Osgood for this one. He kept the Wings in the game. 4) Crosby and Malkin (more Crosby) outplayed Zetterberg and Datsyuk tonight. Babcock said after the game he probably played the duo too much. He may be right. 5) I wouldn't be overly shocked to see the Wings win this series in 5 now. Which was the prediction most people had anyway.
