Chelios sits for Game 1

Chris Chelios won't be in the Red Wings line up Saturday for Game 1. Andreas Lilja, who replaced Chelios in the series-clinching Game 6 in Dallas, will remain in the line up against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Chelios had been nursing a knee injury but said this week he's now healthy. Chelios said Friday during Media Day he likely wouldn't play and understood the reasons behind not playing. Babcock confirmed the reasons Saturday morning. "All we're doing today is, we won the last game and we're not changing (the line up)," Babcock said. "The bottom line with Cheli is, we have a lot of respect for his ability and what he brings to this team. But this isn't about Cheli, it's not about me, it's about the Detroit Red Wings and winning."
