Ovechkin, Iginla, Malkin MVP finalists
Alexander Ovechkin, Jarome Iginla and Evgeni Malkin have been named finalists for the Hart Trophy. The trophy is given to the league's Most Valuable Player. Nicklas Lidstrom was considered a potential finalist until spraining his knee in mid-February and missing six games afterward. Ovechkin, who essentially willed the Washington Capitals through his individual performance, is expected to be a runaway winner.
