Reinforcements On The Way

Not that they're needed at the moment, but with Grand Rapids' season ending tonight, the Wings will have several more bodies joining the team for the playoffs.

Goalie Jimmy Howard, defensemen Jonathan Ericsson, Jakub Kindl and Kyle Quincey, and forwards Cory Emmerton, Darren Helm and Mattias Ritola all got called up tonight.

They'll join the likes of Derek Meech and Brett Lebda and Justin Abdelkader to form the Black Aces, practicing and watching and learning. And possibly playing, of course, if injuries make it necessary.

The Wings are practicing in Detroit on Sunday before flying to Nashville in the late afternoon. Wojo and Ted will be heading to Nashville, while I head to Chicago for some pre-Olympics duty.
