50 wins again
Just one thought after this dominating win over Columbus. Coming out of the lockout many, many people - myself included - really believed the Wings were coming back down to earth. They weren't going to be allowed to spend millions of dollars more than anyone else. The competitive edge they had was now gone. Right off the bat, cutting McCarty, Derian Hatcher and Ray Whitney...that was going to do it. Just getting to the playoffs was going to be difficult. Now, three years later, three consecutive 50 victories, and that's been done so few times ever in this league. I never would have thought this was possible.
