Draper probably to play
It looks like Kris Draper will be a game-time decision tonight against Edmonton. Draper has some tightness in his groin, but took part in the morning skate, and hopes to play. If he doesn't, Mark Hartigan will play. "I think so," said Draper, when asked if he'll play. "It was weird, it kind of tightened up yesterday, but today I went for a skate and it felt pretty good. I want to go. (Trainer) Piet (Van Zant) will talk to Babs (coach Mike Babcock) and we'll see, but I every intention in the world of playing." Niklas Kronwall (clavicle) will return to the lineup Friday, according to Babcock. Brian Rafalski (groin) and Chris Chelios (fibula) are both out. Babcock said Rafalski will be re-examined back in Detroit because of the lack of progress. Dominik Hasek will back up Chris Osgood tonight and expects to play Friday against San Jose. Jimmy Howard will be returned to Grand Rapids later this afternoon. The Wings haven't yet made a trade but have noticed the acquisitions of Brad Richards by Dallas and Brian Campbell by San Jose. "Those are good players," said Babcock, who added the Wings will have their big trade deadline acquisition "four games from now when we get everyone back, and let's get playing."
