Lidstrom Out
I'll relay an injury update on Nick Lidstrom as soon as we have one, but he was dazed and stumbling there after taking a hard check -- and an elbow that came up late into his jaw -- from the Avs' Ian Laperriere on the Wings' power play. The hit came at the 6:00 mark of the first period and referees actually whistled to stop play so the Wings could help Lidstrom off the ice. He headed straight for the dressing room with assistance.
