Cleary out 6-8 weeks
By Ted Kulfan The Detroit News DETROIT According to TSN sports channel out of Canada, Dan Cleary will be out up to two months after fracturing his jaw Saturday in the 3-2 loss to Toronto. The Red Wings are expected to make an official announcement before todays game against Anaheim. Cleary took a puck square on his jaw, a Mikael Samuelsson one-timer, and there was no doubt about the severity of the injury after the game. Coach Mike Babcock said after the game there was no timetable yet on how long Cleary would be out, but general manager Ken Holland hinted the injury was significant. With Cleary, a 20-goal scorer, out of the line up for essentially the rest of the regular season, look for the Wings to address the need for more secondary offense by the Feb. 26 trade deadline.
