Red Wings 3, Wild 2 (OT)

The Wings were outplayed for the first 40 minutes....but it didn't matter. They defeat the Wild 3-2 in OT somehow, someway. Victory No. 41 and there's likely to be quite a few more. Here are some quotes I wasn't able to get into the story: Mike Babcock: "Our goaltender gave us an opportunity. We know when we come in here they have been on a bit of a roll. They want to measure up. You know I read the newspapers and they want to measur eup. They played like that intensity-wise the first two periods and we played like a team that was playing another game." Dominik Hasek: "We had a few chances and finally one lucky goal. They had five guys in the right positions and nobody was open most of the time." Wild coach Jacques Lemaire on Hasek: "He was (the difference). We could have scored four or five goals tonight. He was outstanding at times. We had great chances." Did Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom see that Cleary goal that sent the game into OT? "Yeah, I saw it," Backstrom said. "They got a little lucky because it hit our D's (defense's) feet. It touched my pad. I don't know how it went in. They had the momentum after they tied the game."
