Thursday's morning skate
Quick update from the morning skate: well, not much to update. Holmstrom (knee) won't play, but coach Mike Babcock seemed to think this won't be a long-term thing, at all. Babcock felt Holmstrom could even be ready for Saturday's game against Florida, although that seems like a reach. The big topic of the morning was the Mitchell Report from baseball. Funny how steroids seem to be such a huge topic of conversation in other sports, but not hockey. Most guys felt there wasn't much of a problem in hockey, if any problem, at all. Nobody had a real good reason as to why there isn't a problem. But everyone was glad there isn't one. Speaks pretty well of the sport.
