Red Wings 5, Carolina 2
After tonight's victory over Carolina, Mike Babcock made a good observation about his Red Wings. One of the reasons this team is so good is because the elite players such as Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Lidstrom are also the hardest workers on this team. They're constantly in the weight room, never take a day off mentally or physically, in practice or a game. If you're a young player on this Wings' team, how in the world can you take it easy, if you see people such as Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Hasek, Draper, etc. go 100 percent every day around the rink? You can't take it easy. And the young players, in turn, bust their behinds every day and it's a key reason why this Red Wings machine keeps humming.
