"Dexter" Rocks

You are so right. This is a great show and we never miss it in our household. Mekeisha, you need to come clean. Did you watch it twice because of the rear view shots of John Lithgow?

Mad Men

I was surprised by the blackface scene as well Mekeisha and I wondered how you would react as I knew you were a fan of this show. Geez, were they really still doing this in the sixties? Seems more like something from the thirties. But I love the show and January Jones is the hottest pregnant girl of all time.

I am looking forward to the "True Blood" finale. It won't be on this Sunday as they are holding it because of the Labor Day weekend.

Jackie Paige

I wish Fox 2 Detroit would consider replacing traffic reporter and weekend fill in Jackie Paige as her appearance is atrocious. Everytine she comes on the screen, I reach for the remote.

Samuel Allen and Mekeisha

Samuel Allen:

I agree with you about Ama Daetz. She is very professional and very cute as well. I actually had a dream about Ama the other night but I woke up holding my pillow!

Mekeisha:

I wish you would give "Breaking Bad" some love. It is my new favorite show and Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are great together.

Hey SC,

Did you see my "Breaking Bad" review a few weeks ago? Here's the link:

Error in my last post

Samuel Allen:

I agree about Heather Zara. When she wears those tight skirts, I become very interested in the traffic situation.

Spirit Awards

I always watch the Spirit awards Mekeisha, they always rock. I thought Mickey Rourke acted like a real pig though and Alec Baldwin really lambasted him when he came on stage. What about Rain Wilson doing a parody of "The Wrestler?" It was hilarious.

I must make a hottie alert. My new favorite girl, Ginnifer Goodwin of "Big Love" wore a bikini Sunday night and my heart started thumping so fast, I thought I was a goner. That girl is a cutie patootie!

Thu. 02/12/09 06:15 PM

Aretha's Hat

I say give Aretha's hat it's own reality show. Every week, six ugly hats from around the USA will be judged by Aretha for 13 weeks. At the end, Aretha will wear the winner while she sings R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Party Girl Mekeisha

Girl, you get invited to the most super cool parties! HBO knows how to throw a party. I hope you won a few prizes. Sad to hear that Gennifer Goodwin didn't impress you with her outfit. I really love her character on the show and she is a living doll.

I can't wait to see what happens to the Bruce Dern character. He was tied up and gagged in the last episode!

Leverage & Hustle

I like "Leverage" as well Mekeisha but it is a ripoff of the British show "Hustle" which ran on AMC for a few seasons. I am a sucker for any show about grifters and "Leverage" is very similar to that one.

I loved the "Dexter" finale and this season was as good as the first two with the help of Jimmy Smits. It could run for several more seasons as the ratings are very good for Showtime.

Best wishes to you and your hubby for a great holiday season!

That "Dexter" finale was intense! Whoa! I hope MCH gets the Golden Globe in January. And a Happy Holidays to you and yours, SC!

You are so right girl, "Mad Men" withdrawl is no fun. It seems that with the smaller output of episodes on the better cable shows, the finale comes far too fast.

I also agree with you the HBO show "True Blood". Did you see that demon episode? That Voo Doo lady gave me the creeps and now Tara wants to get her an exorcism. My favorite character is Lafayette the cook. When he took off his earrings to go after those rednecks, I knew that it was on. Great show.

Vampires and Perks

Oh Mekeisha, I am so jealous of all the goodies you get in covering the world of TV. I know they send you cool stuff and it keeps getting better and better! But you are an excellent writer and you deserve the extras.

I am looking forward to that Vampire show on HBO that you previewed. It sounds like a winner from the same guy that did "Six Feet Under"

Also, the boys are back in town! Entourage returns.

Thanks, man! And thanks for pointing out Colin Hanks on "Mad Men." Nice work. I knew he looked familiar.

Mad Men Don Draper

Hi Mekeisha, I just about went hoarse screaming at Don Draper the other night. "Hey you dummy, you are married to January Jones, a leggy, sexy bombshell and you cheat with one floozy after another!"

I don't think Don knew that Peggy had a baby but it was hard to be certain. I liked it when Colin Hanks as the priest gave Peggy the Easter egg and said it was for her little one. She was very surprised.

I love this show as well!

WDIV Changes

I am begging WDIV to not let Ama Daetz or Rhonda Walker get away. Ama is the cutest girl at channel 4 and Rhonda is the sexiest. The best part is that both of these women are so professional and excellent at their craft.

You know how God usually takes celebrities in three's? Well this time He decided to take three African Americans, Bernie Mac, Issac Hayes and the third, Morgan Freeman said "sorry God, I'm not ready for Heaven yet!".

Mon. 07/14/08 12:09 AM

HBO

Hi Mekeisha, I just saw "Gone Baby Gone" on cable and was pleasantly surprised to see our old pal "Omar" from "The Wire" in a small part. He still rules!

Fri. 04/11/08 12:21 PM

Corrupt City Officials

Speaking of political corruption, our good friend Clay Davis (Isiah Whitlock)from "The Wire" surfaced on "New Amsterdam" the other night. He turned out to be the bad guy! shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht!
