Roger Sterling in black face? Cringe.
Yes, I know "Mad Men" is set in the 1960s but that was even a bit much for that show and that time.
Don's reaction even said as much.
Aside from that, Sunday night's episode was arguably the best this season because there was so much going on.
There was Peggy's dalliance with weed, Pete's big dance number, Paul's Tiger Tone revision and Joan's accordion solo.
Man, wasn't Joan's story heartbreaking? Here she is thinking that this jerky husband of hers was her knight in shining hospital scrubs and it turns out he's a loser. Yikes.
That's why the new Mrs. Sterling threw her new status in Joan's face. Her life of leisure and privilege was supposed to be Joan's life of leisure and privilege.
Instead, Joan will be dancing and singing and supporting her husband indefinitely.
I also loved the whole pick-pocket Sally plotline. Old Gene might be getting old but he knew he was $5 light.
What a great way to advance the story. No wonder AMC announced today that this brilliant drama is coming back for a fourth season.
"Mad Men" airs 10 p.m. Sundays on AMC.

Mad Men
I was surprised by the blackface scene as well Mekeisha and I wondered how you would react as I knew you were a fan of this show. Geez, were they really still doing this in the sixties? Seems more like something from the thirties. But I love the show and January Jones is the hottest pregnant girl of all time.
I am looking forward to the "True Blood" finale. It won't be on this Sunday as they are holding it because of the Labor Day weekend.
