Mr. Paul

Since we(my family)traditionally celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday.................I'm holding you to your commitment to write today!..........lol.

And no saying this years "biggest turkey" is a Lion........even though it would be so true.

Years biggest turkey would have to be Carl Pavano, no? Way too much money to fold up the tent so easily.

Scariest moments

The scariest moment for me, as a lifelong Tiger fan, was when ANY ball was hit towards a pitcher during the '06 World Series.

That last zinger flung past a diving Inge by Zumaya..............I still have nightmares.

In person, the scariest moment as a Tiger fan while in the stands? Watching Chet Lemon get beaned on a ball he lost in the sun in centerfield against the Angels. I swear, you could hear the "bonk" from the seats.

The scariest moments of the '07 season? The first inning of ANY game started by Jeremy. Would it be 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, of gawd forbid, more?!?!...........lol.

I imagine a scary moment for a beat reporter for the Tigers in '07, was asking JL(again)after a Bondo start, what was the problem? That reporter HAD to know, NOT a lot of info was forthcoming, but the question had to asked.

Scariest moment for DD, this off-season? It has to be when Kenny signs on the dotted line. Whacha gonna get? 15 wins in a final, last shot at glory for the old timer? Or, 3 wins and 3 months on the DL?

Scariest moment for JL? None. Nuthin' bothers that dude.

Scariest moment for a Tiger player(and yes, he's a true Tiger, being brought up and all by OUR team), HAS to be when Omar was traded to the (gasp) Cubs! I mean........talk about "losing all hope"........lol. The last time they won anything, the continental divide was a "global warming" type controversy.

Scariest moment of the off-season? Discovering Joel Zumaya is gonna join Mark Fydrich in the "what coulda been" HOF.

If the Tigers don't win in '08, here's hoping that Omar carries the Cubs to the NL pennant, and hits .500 in the World Series and is carried off into the sunset on the shoulders of Cub fan..............all while complaining that no one really understands his talent...........lol.

CyberSurvey: Hall of fame or shame?

Nice "take" on the Bonds thing, Tony. Human nature is a funny thing, isn't it? Always wanting more, no matter how "good" it is. Ya go out and buy a 3 series Beemer, ya want the 5. Ya save for the 5, and all ya want is a 7........lol. Despite the fact Barry was gonna go down as a top ten player, alltime.........it wasn't enough. Sounds doggone familiar, to me. Unfortunately, he just didn't know when he was in over his head. Most folks, if they find out after buying the Beemer their house payment becomes difficult, don't continue on with their want for more car. Seems to me, Barry is missing that gene.

The three greatest hitters of all time by the most cherished records: hits, average, and homers............are all disgraceful human beings. Should we raise our sons to be jerks??.......lol.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.
