Thanks Tony

Did you not predict this possibility a few weeks ago? Kudos. I think Leyland read that article, and managed accordingly.

One More Trip

Tony- If we have a 1 game playoff at the Metrodome, I'm not even sure I would dare to watch it. I'd have my hand over my eyes, peeking through. Thanks for the visual.

Buerhle

I argued earlier in the year when Beurhle was shutting the Tigers down, that he wasn't all that great. I was reminded that he had thrown a no hitter in recent years, I chalked it up to luck. Then he goes and throws a perfect game, and 6 more perfect innings in his next start. Thanks, Mark, you've exposed me as an idiot!

Paul Schrieber

WriteReferee- Keep your hands to yourself, and it's all good. Unless you're Angel Hernandez or Doug Eddings, in which case a visit to the optomitrist is in order.

Porcello

That is quite amazing, and I'm surprised nobody on here caught this stat and posted it 1'st(unless they did and I missed it): One of 6 pitchers 20 years old or younger to win 4 straight starts giving up 1 run or less in each start. Impressive company he keeps as well.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
