New pitch for Bonderman
On Tuesday night, in his one inning at Toledo, Bonderman threw 13 pitches, seven of which were strikes - and three of the strikes were with his new pitch, a splitter.
It's replacing, and probably ending the experiment of, his change-up.
This is something to watch, because it's a pitch Bonderman likes to throw - after never liking the change. He won't be back with the Tigers for a while, but when he returns, it will be with a new pitch.

I believe he'll be back stronger than ever and be able to contribute when Washburn leaves. I doubt the latter is anything but a rental.
