The Detroit News

Was that a ...?

From Anaheim

Indeed it was.

Just had a 3.8 quake out here about 20 minutes ago. We felt the press box shake once or twice, enough for everyone to look up from our computers and stare at each other.

However, it hasn't interrupted pre-game activity - the Angels' batting practice is continuing and none of the Tigers appears to be concerned.

Tigers' broadcaster Rod Allen just told me, however, that he was on the ground floor, waiting for the elevator, and he felt it, too. So it wasn't just up here.

It's business as usual, though.

Quaking in your boots

Welcome to CA, Tom. I lived out there while in the Army and experienced two. One, I actually slept through. Woke up and there were a few pitcures on the floor that used to be on the wall. The other felt pretty weird. Kinda like stepping on a boat and trying to get your legs back while a nice little wake goes by.
