The Tigers just announced that Gary Sheffield will head to Single-A Lakeland tomorrow to begin an injury rehabilitation assignment. I think the rule is you have 30 days for an injury rehab, although they often don't take as long. Jim Leyland has said that they're going to have Sheffield let them know when he's ready and then he'll rejoin the team.
