Bad brew at Michigan
A few weeks ago I attended Michigan's near miss loss at Iowa. Afterwards I wrote a commentary saying that all did not seem right around the Michigan program. Something was wrong.
There seemed to be a lot of bickering and divide surrounding the program. Coaches were bickering. Players seemed confused and key people around the program are not in concert with the job coach Rich Rodriguez was doing. My gut said something and I wrote about it.
Quite naturally a lot of old blue took exception to the column and bombarded my email with unsavory comments, some calling me the biggest yellow journalist since the term was coined decades ago.
I tried to answer most of them but could not.
I wonder how they feel about their program now? The great Michigan divide has turned into the great Michigan slide.
Since that game Michigan has lost to Penn State and Illinois by a combined score of 73-23. And spare me the Delaware State blow out. That does not count.
There is something wrong with the brew in Ann Arbor that goes beyond having a youthful football team. It seems as if opponents have figured out quarterback Tate Forcier and Michigan's defense remains an embarrassment.
Meanwhile you had former quarterback Rick Leach rip former coach Lloyd Carr for sitting with Iowa people in the press box. Carr felt the need to finally give support to Rodriguez during a scripted radio interview.
And I forgot to mention that Rich Rod's sugar daddy Bill Martin is leaving as athletic director.
There will be more chills and spills surrounding Michigan as the Wolverines try to slip into a flea bag bowl somewhere. Like I said, something is wrong with the brew in Ann Arbor. Maybe even the biggest blue supporters can see it now.

Bad blue?
I think ur right on terry.Get rid of that old as defensive co an bring in a young fresh mind to the defense.I don't think the team wants to play for robinson. His schemes are terrible. He has that old 1960's stlye of coaching bed but dont break. Where done with that we need to attack make the offense change to what were doing. The corner are 10 yards off every play they cant tackle and the zone gets beat all game.If you cant play man to man ur not going pro any way.Get rid of robinson NOWWWWWWWWW!
Bad blue?
Terry I love you but really comeon. should the real light be shining in East lansing. That team was supposed to be 3rd in the big ten and compete for a big Ten title. who would ever think a True Freshmen could compete on the road against Iowa ( almost won) Wisconsin still to come and MSU. I looked at the schedule at the begining of the year and knew the season would comedown to the Purdue and Illini game . the difference between 6-6 and 7-5 . YOu had to think
Juice would wake up sooner or later. Tate has not been the same since Iowa. He got hit and is holding on to the ball too long. I agree we are disappointed but euphoria was premature for the blue faithful. True things are not well but the expectation game is killing rich rod and the impatient alumni. If Ncaa finds anything all bets are off or 2010. Then we start over with a new system and a new coach.. keep an eye on the recruits. If the jump ship. Game over for RR.. Terry please keep an eye on the green and white. if expectations are the barometer. D'antonio should be hung. go blue
Michigan Football
The Michigan football program has become the laughing stock of the nation and I do not see Coach Rich Rod fixing it. I'm tired of all of the Michigan fans saying we have improved from last year. If Rich Rod is going to be successful he needs to do a better job than Coach Carr otherwise this hire was not worth it. Lets not forget Coach Carr won on average 9 games every season and went to a good bowl game every single season. Coach Rich Rod will have to go on average 10-2 every single season to be a better coach than Coach Carr and I do not see this happening. Michigan should have held out for Les Miles.
