Snell, truly pathetic journalism

This article is a joke and Robert Snell should be a little more concerned about his lack of journalism skills than about a local pro athelete's property tax bill which was obviously a misunderstanding. Chelios gives back to the community, he's not a deadbeat, so why throw dirt on him by writing this crap in the newspaper?

Yes this article was defiantly a waste of ink.....Robert...maybe you should be working for a Tabloid instead of a Local news paper.. or is that the new direction of the Detroit news....Tabloid??

I used to run a newsroom..Robert Snell should be glad I do not run his newsroom..he would be out on the street. That was just absolute sloppy work.

Hey Robert Snell, the previous commentor was correct, why even report this?

You write 90% of the article as if Chelios is just a dead beat rich guy and only mention at the tail end the problem is a tax accounting firm switch.

What a slanted article. Small wonder why journalists in general get so little respect. Keep your opinions and agendas out of your reporting.

By the way, being jealous of someone's honestly earned income is not excuse for slanted reporting.

Chelios back taxes

Why even report this? This guy is paying more in property taxes than many people earn a year. I'm sure all the readers out there who are struggling to make ends meet are happy to know Chelios has the money to pay these taxes..

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
