Boston Pops: Tigers May Be Out Of It, But Bill Buckner's Safe At Home
Take a good look, Tiger fans: That may be as close as you'll get to a World Series ring this year.
0-7? Ouch. Now we know how Billy Buckner used to feel.
But not anymore! Classy ceremony by the Red Sox before today's home opener at Fenway.
And smart scheduling, too: Who knew the Tigers would be the perfect patsy?

Hi John,
I'm not writing to comment on the Tigers.
You may be familiar with the article on Don Wildman and his workout partners in May's Esquire Magazine. I passed it on to a friend, who in turn sent your 7/25/07 article on Chris Chelios Workout Regimen to me. Can you assist in my getting an E-mail address or phone # for Don? I am a weekend warrior from nearby Moorpark (CA) who would like to join Don on one his workouts and see how long I last...
Thank you,

dead kittykats
i didn't think i would be saying this until late june/early july, but the 'motown kitties are dead'. they choked a lot earlier than i expected.they will be known as the biggest bust in major league baseball history. as soon as i saw on espn they were picked to win it all,i buried my head in my hands and said 'goodbye to this baseball season.'they will never come back from this deficit because they don't have enough 'guts' to make it back.look at last year (well, let's not).once again we have a team that lends credo to the nickname of detroit...the motor,i mean 'choke city...'
