Recently An Islam guest speaker spoke to the human relations class I attend.
Near the end of the class I had to remind him our nation the United States is a secular nation. A constitutional seperation of church and state exist in our country.
To repeat my premise, Religion and religious leaders historically has been the worst secular leaders. They, preachers, never seem to get it right. People, we, men and women, do not have special powers to transfer. To transfer ideas, concerns, and just greetings to people, other than routine mundane oral, written, hand, and smoke signals is impossible..
The religious tenets from 2000 or 1400 years ago prophets who are said to direct people's fate and destiny through people, preachers, in 2009 is hog wash.
If modern terrorits are not trying to attained a substanial concrete seeable and doable social, political, or economic agenda. They are wasting their and everyone's else time and energy..
People spent from the year 1000 to about 1750 chasing religious phantoms. Another 200 years after that chasing capitalist nightmares.

As I remember college and pro sports were avenues which we black guys could compete. I can't remember after world war II us asking for equality or brotherhood.

It is very difficult to abstain from nothing. The way I abstain from listening or hearing both Fox News and Rush Limbaugh is to never/seldom turn to their stations or channels.
I turned Rush Limbaugh off in 1993, what is 16 years ago. As I remember he blamed the concerns and problems of American "white people" on "them".

We American black people are not involved in the concerns, problems, and questions confronting American Republican Party reactionaries.
To have their people including us in their problems should be stopped.
The modern social, political, and economic change and progress has not overwhelmed our 30% high functioning citizens.
I would use the word "befriend" those black citizens listed above.
Perhaps they could counsel us how to avoid being included

Does socialism have a declared economic system alternative?
Whether the Alternative system is communism or capitalism, alternatives can be debated or fought over.

The social, political, or economic system offered by Mr. Bush from 2001 to 2009 had no identity nor had an alternative.
The American citizen want to re-establish some order social, political, and economic now, in the present.

1. Freedom to choose what's in your plan
2. Freedom to be rewarded for healthy living, or pay your real costs
3. Freedom to choose high-deductible coverage
4. Freedom to keep your existing plan
5. Freedom to choose your doctors
The silliness of the American reactionaries is not imaginable.
1) American citizens can't afford a plan.
2) Little beasties attack and accidents happened to Americans, Jeez.
3) American citizens has not ben able to affort a doctor and hospital for years.
4) What choice reactionary? A plan, nothing has been resolved for 16 years. Nothing in our country can be resolved/ solved.
5) The question would be, how could a reactionary come up with #5 on the list? Who in the 47 million without health care would know or has even seen a doctor?
Consideration and thought would have determined, if the list of 5 was in effect, why would we be trying to reslove the concern of health care?
