Hollywood stoops to a new low
Todd: the "SICK" person in this situation is Ms. Prejean, herself. Can you spell h-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-e? Like many beauty pageant competitors, the chief thing she has to 'sell' is her physical appearance. When she was in her teens and posed for these videos of herself pleasuring herself, she was of sound mind and knew fully what she was doing. She wanted to be noticed, no matter what; she got her wish.
During the past few years, Rethuglicons seem to have a monopoly on hypocrisy, not that Democrats don't delve into ther same dark area. Rethugs are the ones who preen and pose in the name of family values and all sorts of "good" admonitions, only to be debunked by the truth. It won't end until we as a people can somehow forgo the urge to be "famous."
Ask yourself what hypocrites are after - to be famous for something for any amount of time, even the trite 15-minutes of fame. Once they are "famous", they believe themselves to be invisible thereby give themselves permission to act out as they please: eg Kwame Kilpatrick, Carrie Prejean, Governor Sanford, the Senators from Idaho & Nevada, Governor Spitzer, Alberto Gonzales, et al. The list is lengthy, too long to complete in this forum.
Whether or not I "bother you" is doubtful since you have taken the time to respond in this forum. No, we have never met and no doubt never will. The contents of your heart are made quite clear with your posts.
My family and others that I love consist of the entire spectrum of race, religion, ethnicity, and faith communites. To say that black persons are more likeable than white persons are is patently absurd! That would be saying that Kwame Kilpatrick is more likeable than Mother Theresa. You have stated one of the most trite remarks out there said by those wishing to appear non-judgmental, second only to "some of my best friends are black."
You want us to believe that you are christian, god-fearing, etc. at least by your stated'God Bless'and other religious truisms in your posts. Unless you unconditionally believe that God created all peoples equal, all meaning men, women, heterosexual individuals as well as homosexual men and women, all persons of color, the rich, and the poor and accept this as gospel, your words are empty.

Ah-h-h yes, Todd. How we all long for the days of George W. Bush, the intellecctual giant of the GOP. Under his leadership, our country was brought to its lowest level in history. You know very well the damages that were wrought but have conveniently blocked them out in favor of Christian platitudes, half-truths, bible quotations and simple solutions to everything as if you have some inside tract to the facts.
Even you will eventually benefit from President Obama's policies just as we all are suffering from the ineptness, dishonesty, and incompetence of George Bush.
President Obama said that he is president of us - all; Dubya Bush was president of the elite and saw to their beneficence throughout the (2) wars that he pre-emptively oversaw and over 8 years of the rape of our country and its resources, human and material. He relieved their taxation, changed legislation to their liking and saw to it that the war machine was well oiled giving no-bid contracts to, among others, Mr. Dick "shooter" Cheney's companies. There is not enough time, space, or worth to ramble on about the misdeeds and crimes of the Bush administration in this forum. They are well documented in history; we may yet see justice and vindication of the tragedy of our war dead under his watch in the courts.
I can't resist an occasional response to you because of the way you justify your own views and prejudices and criticize the President at every turn. You seem to be under exposed to the realities of governance, the deep education, critical thinking ability, and intellectual capacity of our president compared to the last 8 years of war-for-profit, health-care-for-profit, and the Party of No lining its pockets with cash on the one hand while placating the 'masses' on the other. Wrong, Spyder. I met Hoekstra last summer. I witnessed him lying to a Townhall Group. He will do and say anything to draw attention to himself for his run-up to the governorship. Rachel is a reporter who checks her facts, which is why so many people like yourself get so ticked when she says what she says. Several investigations and exposes' have been initiated on MSNBC air time. How do they stay on the air?????? You are joking, for sure.

Political views are rarely marginal. This forum is chock full of writers who visualize their own imaginary press notices vividly and are experts in just about everything Constitutional, historical, economic, and certainly political. Anonymity offers them secrecy, thus the rants. If what they purport is so blatantly true, then unless they are actively working for their party of choice, they are only adding to the callouses on their fingertips. Nobody changes their mind because of a rant/rave.
Do a lot of research - more than google, read, join the party of your choice. Maybe you are already so involved. I hope so.

Having watched FOX, then the truth over the years, it's simple to find out who is telling the truth. Follow the issues on the internet and what's in print following the broadcast.
FOX' specialty is blonde babes wearing low-cut tops, short skirts, reading copy; the guys are hucksters in designer suits. Each and every one of them are multi-millionaires who care nothing for those to whom they preach. Sadly, there is a huge audience of dittoheads, soaking up what they're fed, If they were standing in a mob, fists would be in the air; they would be yelling, "yeah, yeah."
On their own, FOX personalities would be novelty acts. Since they do not actually report news or on pertinent issues of the day without slant, they would do best on shows like Inside Hollywood or Inside Story where the great O'Reilly got his start. Rush: who knows. He is best at taking his glasses on and off, plucking at his shirt, and blowing his own horn. The only group he doesn't deride are fat people, since he is obviously a card-carrying member. Having people like this in influential positions among repiglicans guarantees success for Dems until the gop regroups and maybe draws their wagons in a circle. How about Ailes/Palin in 2012!!! I do not hate intrinsically or extrinsically, period. I merely recognize George Bush as inept, incompetent, and as an elected official who duped his following into thinking that he could lead the country.
By every measurable means, he led our country economically (lowest GDP since Hoover), to financial disaster; he failed to facilitate rescue and aid in a dire emergency (Katrina); he squandered $6 billion dollars a month on a war (Iraq) that he later admitted was planned out in advance and with a country that posed no threat to ours; he budgeted over $40 billion out of social programs and child assistance programs, to name only a few situations.
A few particularly heinous policies were that of approval of torture for prisoners of war, spying on citizens of the U.S. by ignoring existing laws and looking the other way as over 5,000 of our young men and women were killed in Iraq along with, documented, over 100,000 Iraqi citizens-including children and the elderly, all the while paving the way for war-profiteering by his 'partner' in crime, Dick Cheney. George Bush got away with a crime that the Nazi SS was tried, convicted, and executed for at the Nurenburg Trials: waterboarding.
Dubya presided over two wars, one of which was initiated pre-emptively. He left the White House with our nation hated and jeered throughout the western world, with the stock market and most banks in financial ruin, with Katrina survivors unprotected for the most part and with the dead and missing not yet totally identified and unaccounted for. Now that the statute off limitations has expired for the thugs in his administration, Dick "shooter" Cheney is touring the country, lying, finger-pointing, slithering from place to place, knowing he can't be indicted. Actually, as wise as he thinks he is, we've not given up hope that he and his ilk will be prosecuted so that our war dead will not have died with impunity to those who sentenced them to give their young lives so that they could profit handsomely.
Todd, put your biblical references to rest for the present. History, even the most recent chapter, is filled with bible quoters who instigated nearly irreperable damage to our country with their wild, personal interpretations of psalm and verse. The grand, old Rev. Jerry Falwell tripped himself up with his own rhetoric while quoting verse after verse. By his very own tongue, he identified himself for what he was, 'in the name of the Lord': a racist, self-agrandizing, a hypocrit, a faith-for-money man of the cloth.
Instead trying to proselyte the readership, Todd, try to broaden your spectrum somewhat to the left for a change. Really try to see past your front yard. Also, if you have the stomach, check out the damages done by the Bush thugs on many, many, websites, articles, videos, films, DVD's and TV specials.

Although you speak as though you consider yourself Christian, your views betray you as not acting Christ-like. This is the case with most born-agains or those who boast about their "christianity." It is exclusive, prejudicial, judgmental, and, for the 8 years of the Bush presidency, since that group was influential in his election, has presided over one of the most damaging, corruption-filled, incompetent administrations in the history of our country. BUT, Dubya was "saved", proclaimed wildly his opposition to abortion and was therein annointed by the "believers" to be a leader of worth.
The reality turned out to be that he had no conscience. The amount of vacation days he took, by actual count, designated that he was 'on the job' a total of 5.5 years out of the 8 that he was in office. There are innumerable websites, writings, documentation, and historical data on the lack of leadership that he showed and how it lead our country to the state that President Obama inherited.
Todd, if you can, think about exactly how Jesus would act and react to our homosexual brothers and sisters. I believe he would be the absolute opposite of you.

It has always been mind-blowing to me when middle class citizens buy into rethuglicon philosophy. In the last 8 years, name one single piece of legislation that has brought progress or hope to middle America! The jobs aare all overseas, people are out of work, they tried to abolish unions, people cannot afford to buy health insurance that will pay off when they are ill!!! THERE ARE NONE! George Bush hog tied everyone when he said what they wanted to hear. He then proceeded to lead us into 2 wars, raid the treasury of our country, back-stab, and take a total, by actual count, of over 900 vacation days while he was (supposed to be) the president! Now, that's immoral, religion notwithstanding.
