Apparently the link has been removed.

What was so egregious???

Typical

I would think ending the assault on businesses so they can create jobs would be a better tactic than simply handing out money to the victims of Democrat policies.

Why is it???

Why is it that EVERY time liberals find a study to support their claims, it is always the result of an activist group cobbling together phony statistics or using incredibly shoddy methodology in a desperate attempt to support the claims.

Libby here is claiming the many people will die because of the opposition to the current health care reform. Undoubtedly this is based on the recent "study" released that "showed" 45,000 per year die because of a lack of health insurance. The methodology of this study was pretty much this. If you die - no matter how or why - and you did not have insurance, you were included in the numbers of people who died BECAUSE of a lack of insurance. It is phony and it is a LIE.

What is REAL, Libby is that we subsidize the rest of the world with our research. That decreases their costs and adds to ours - BUT it also provides us with the VAST majority of new treatments that save lives. The reason WE develope these treatments and other countries do not, is because companies can still make money here and therefore they invest that money into research and developement of those treatments. There is VERY little such developement in countries that have systems like the Democrats are advocating.

There are MILLIONS of lives saved that would otherwise be lost precisely because we have the system we have.

And we don't have to give up our freedom to save those lives.

The Democrat bill (Pelosi's) would only cover an additional 3 million people and it would destroy the incentives to develop these new treatments. In addition it would destroy a lot of very good paying jobs in the health insurance industry and cost us unmanageable sums of money.

Freedom and lives saved VS loss of freedom and millions of deaths due to stagnation of new treatments??? I'll take the freedom and saved lives, thank you very much!

How about the lies that have REAL consequence??

The liberal blogs have been spreading rumors that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl back in 1990.

Why no "zombie lie" post about that???

Of course that would mean criticizing a time honored liberal tradition of smearing anyone who dare offer a different opinion than the Party.

The Party wouldn't like that. Big Brother is ALWAYS right.

GOP Reform Plan

Americans pay double for drugs because we, in effect, subsidize other countries!!!!!

Take Canada for example. Their program mandated that they would only pay a certain amount for their drugs - an amount that is LESS than the cost to manufacture and develop those drugs. In order to make up the difference, WE are charged more.

When will we ever learn?

Destroying freedom is not the way to show compassion. It is tyranny.

That is what the Democrats are setting us up for. They create crisis after crisis and "solve" every crisis with more government - more freedom lost. When those "solutions" fail, the answer is always MORE government and thus more freedom lost.

The liberals are like drug dealers - handing out "free" samples to their unwitting victims. Soon the victims are dependent on the drug dealer and are literally forced to beg for their daily fix. This is what the liberals do with their "free" healthcare, their "free" welfare, their "free" food stamps. They are creating a PERMANENT class of people who MUST vote for them because they have lost all ability and knowledge of how to help themselves. It is nothing more than slavery and the Democrats support it.

As Abraham Lincoln said:

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.

You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

The destruction the liberals have wrought on the poor of this country should be criminal.

They not only have enslaved millions of people, they get their victims to hand them the power to do so. They do this under the guise of "compassion".

Hypocrites thems all.

Libby,

You are mistaken when you say the Republicans have nothing to offer on health care reform.

NONE of it is getting reported, but they have been offering some VERY good ideas.

You should really stop and consider what you are supporting.

I know you have criticized the Baucus plan, but that is what we are going to end up with (mostly). This bill will ONLY COVER an additional 5 million people at an enormous expense of our liberties and our economy. If you don't want this, I would suggest you start fighting against it, instead of the phoney bogey man of the Republican party. The Republicans CANNOT stop this - they simply do not have the votes. Period. This is an issue between the left wing Democrats and the moderate Dems. The left wing WILL not win if the Baucus plan goes through.

Not acceptable.

It's GOTTA be worth something!!!!

The Judge who wouldn't marry is wrong, but Rush is not.

The racist tag simply does not apply to Rush Limbaugh.

It is FAR more appropriately applied to those who blocked his attempt at acquiring a minority position with the Rams.

I have read every single supposed statement against Rush that I can find - and NONE of them approach racism when taken in context.

NONE.

Sat. 10/17/09 04:28 PM

Not acceptable.

There is no reason in the world NOT to grant this couple a marriage license. None.

No excuse is acceptable. Sorry.

Libby you are correct.

Globaloney

Yet we are STILL cooler than the 1930's - AND have seen DECREASES in temperatures since 1998.

Libby didn't read her links - again.

In your first article, the VERY FIRST bullet point claims that the report does not take into effect the "fact" that you can keep or "Grandfather policy that requires no change in the health insurance plan that you already get at work."

Which is flat out false - and the second article shows this in it's contradictory statement:

A footnote -- how come the good stuff is always in the footnotes? -- on page E-2 of the report sort of gives away the game. It reads: "Impact assumes payment of tax on high- value plans, full cost-shifting of cuts to public programs, and full passthrough of new industry taxes." That's written to obscure, but what it means is that the report assumes no behavioral changes in response to new policies.

In other words, companies ARE going to drop the private insurance plans they have - WE HAVE - and go to the public option.

THEREFORE YOU CANNOT KEEP YOUR OWN PLAN.

Just like we said.

Libby, you are aiding and abetting the administration in a huge and incredibly damaging lie.

Zero tolerance - A glimps into the future of healthcare

Libby,

If you don't like the zero tolerance policies, then why the heck are you supporting government run ANYTHING.

You see, after a lifetime of dealing with the government, many of us know this is EXACTLY what we can expect ANYTIME we deal with the government.

Red tape, inflexible and counterproductive rules, and cookie cutter "solutions".

THIS IS THE FUTURE OF HEALTHCARE under ANY of the plans the Democrats are proposing.

Obama for Heisman!!

After all, he has done just as much to qualify for this as he has for world peace. Probably more.
