Senator Inhofe & His Global Warming Deniers

U.S. Senator Inhofe is the "weightiest" critic of "man-made global warming alarmism"--read his speech:

+ 'Consensus' Continues Freefall: Science and Scientists Challenge Man-Made Global Warming Fears / Senator James Inhofe (R-OK), Ranking Member Environment and Public Works Committee

http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Minority.PressReleases&ContentRecord_id=fc6818d6-802a-23ad-4803-b2ed231c1d7d

Inhofe names the most important voices decrying alarmism:

1./ Vaclav Klaus, president of the Czech Republic and of the European Union:

"I don't see any ruining of the planet, I have never seen it, and I don't think that a reasonable and serious person could say such a thing."

2./ Climate scientist Dr. Richard Lindzen, Massachusetts Institute of Technology:

"... water vapor feedback could act to nullify future warming."

...Of course, Inhofe's first two experts are contradicting each other...

3./ William Gray of Colorado State University:

"But this warming trend is not going to keep on going."

4./ Stephen McIntyre is the primary author of Climate Audit:

"He discovered a small discontinuity ... about 0.15 °C during the years 2000-2006."

5./ Chemist Dr. Arthur Robinson ... petition signed by more than 32,000 American scientists:

"... consensus does not exist on the subject of global warming"

"Robinson's paper--'Science Has Spoken: Global Warming Is a Myth'--claimed to show that pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere is actually a good thing."

6./ Dr. Willie Soon, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics:

"... 'the 20th century is probably not the warmest nor a uniquely extreme climatic period of the last millennium.'"

"... 13 authors ... disputed that interpretation of their work."

7./ NASA Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Roy Spencer:

Wrote: "When is Global Warming Really a Cooling?"

Here Read:

+ Is the globe warming or cooling / USA Today (2009)

http://www.usatoday.com/weather/climate/globalwarming/2009-05-08-global-cooling-or-warming_N.htm

"... the 10 warmest years on record have all occurred since 1998 and that even though 2008 was the coolest year since 2000, it was still the 8th-warmest year on record."

Inhofe goes on:

"Here is a very small sampling of recent inconvenient climate developments and news:"

"NYT: Prominent Geologist Dr. Don Easterbrook warns we are in 'decades-long global cooling spell'"

"NASA Warming Scientist Under Fire--From Former Supervisor"

--"...Hansen received a $250,000 Heinz Environment Award for his research on global warming... Hansen later publicly endorsed Kerry for the presidency... 'Yes, that is absolutely illegal,' Theon said. That alone is grounds for firing ..."

Is it Batman or The Joker???!!!

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
