Libby's partisan update

By the way, Margaret Hoover on FOX News isn't too shabby either...

She kind of has this "college girlfriend" aura about her...

Libby's partisan update

I feel for the tragic loss on behalf of victims and their families and friends.

The largest "fact" that I find puzzling: how can a man armed with only two 9mm handguns, manage to shoot 40 people without being interrupted or running out of targets?

I personally own a retired military-issue Beretta 9mm handgun (likely very similar to the model used) and the standard military magazine for it only holds 14 rounds (+1 round preloaded in the barrel).

Doing the math indicates that he needed to stop and reload at least once (possibly twice depending on accuracy) during the shooting. If people ran and scattered, he would have also needed to accurately shoot and then reload very quickly...

How does he manage to do this in a building that is busy processing highly-trained, combat-experienced soldiers? (The building was used for processing returning soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan. Which makes this even sadder...)

I am not going to rush to judgement, but something isn't adding up at this point....

Chris, I have a partial for Catherine Herridge myself...

But I am worried about the stories that are sprouting up, as well as the story that seems to be arising that Maj. Hasan was simply upset.

I heard the suicide rate is high for Psych care workers as well, but logically, all of the current stories simply don't mesh with the violence to me. And add in the fact that Maj. Hasan is in fact not dead makes me wonder if that "story" was planted. As for the two suspects, I'm curious as to the reasons for their detention, by proxy location or perhaps by witness?

All said and done, we're left with nothing but unanswered questions that we may not even want the answers to. My thoughts to everyone that has yet to know. Mako out.

Forgot to mention: I will not hovever, withdraw my claim that Martha MacCallum is smokin' hot...

And I really need to check my grammar better before clicking "submit", but I think everyone still gets my point...

TDC:

You are correct. And I withdraw the MoveOn claim and admit I do not know for sure whether she has linked to MoveOn.

But I'm not going on the fools errand of reviewing all of her posts from the past 3 years to prove otherwise...

However, she frequently links to the other two examples I mentioned and other far partisan sources I didn't bother mention...

However, MoveOn mention was a microscopic in the context of the much larger argument that Libby refuses to acknowledge, deny or address...

Libby Spencer wrote "Find me a post in the last three years where I linked to MoveOn Chris."

Chris D..You did claim that Ms Spencer used Moveon as a source for her blogs. She has made a legitimate challenge to your claim.

If you wish to be more credible than Ms Spencer, post your supporting evidence, or retract your claim.(imo)

Operating at her level does not help your side of the aisle.

Libby Lies - an ongoing series...

What about S.E. Cupp? She is a contributor, not a full time person.

She looks like a sweet girl but something about her makes me think she has a VERY naughty side very close to the surface of her personality... me likey!

Most of the Fox ladies are far better looking than their counterparts on other networks... probably because they don't store their heads up their rears.

Yes, I too have notice Ms. MacCallum is smokin'. But I'm truly in love with Megyn Kelly....:)

Libby, thanks for your response (below) but I think you meant to put it under your "Bachmann" post. That's where I responded to it...

BTW - I noticed you didn't address my challenge to you on "credibility"...

Thu. 11/05/09 03:03 PM

Libby's partisan update

You're not credible when you offer your opinion as fact, only post 1-2 quotes or "facts" from a story (often from a clearly-dubious source), ignore any contrary facts, and then lace your guise post with partisan broad stroke language intended to smear opposing views.

credibility: adjective

1. capable of being believed; believable: a credible statement.

2. worthy of belief or confidence; trustworthy: a credible witness.

Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/credibility

Given the history of your posts, selective fact reporting, dubious sources and inflammatory borad-stroke language, please explain to all of us how your commentary meets the definition noted above...

Chris, you have to keep scrolling to get the whole post. The top part is just the summary. Then they have a whole page of proofs, with quotes and links embedded to the source material and there's a video too. Admit that Media Matters slants left but they always source their posts. They are simply reviewing the archived records that are publicly available on the internet.

Oh I get it Chris. I'm not credible for publishing quotes instead of stealing an entire article and republishing it in whole (which is a copyright violation by the way). Posting the source link so people can read the whole thing and check that I got the quotes correctly is not enough.

But you get to make false statements about my links without any proof and that's AOK. Cool.

Nice try at the mis-direct Libby...

Collectively, we've made several documented points about your use of partisan rhetoric, half-truths and political spin to sell your ideology. This post is yet another glaring example of it...

We've repeatedly presented facts countering your half-baked claims, trying to redirect the focus back onto me won't work...

Your credibility is what's in question right now...

Libby Update:Fox did issue a correction later in the day. Major Garrett said he "misheard" Gibbs at the presser so just add this to the long list of Fox "mistakes." Funny how all their errors seem to be at the expense of Democrats.

It's nice that Libby updated the situation wherein FOX took responsibility for their mistake. Too bad she puts a hateful partisan "spin" on it...

However, she continues to ignore:

1. The outright lies and false quotes the liberal "news" organizations published ablut Limbaugh during his attempt to buy an NFL team... (which were never retracted)

2. The falsities and half-truths from sources that she often cites, such as StinkProgress, MediaMatters and MoveOn.... (which are never retrected)

3. The whoppers she has told herself, some of which are called out in the comments below... (which she refuses to acknowledge or retract)

By ignoring these fabrications, she continues to underscore that those of her progressive liberal ilk do not care about facts or their own integrity...

re: Zombie Lies

Libby Spencer wrote in part "As CSM points out, even if they issue corrections now, the zombie lie is already stalking the internets and will never die. This is why we say that Fox is not a real news organization. "

According to Con Pat, Fox has already corrected / retracted its report. They show more accountability that you do

Second..If your standard of a "real news organization" is never making a error, then those networks that reported the Administrations *initial* claims of "jobs created/jobs saved are also not "real organizations right? (they admit their initial claims were wrong)

Or is this just another example of your partisan hypocrisy?

Finally..you are not in a position to accuse ANYONE of lying. Lets review a few of your "zombie lies"

"I'm merely responding to McCotter blaming Obama for the whole mess"

Libby Spencer lying about Rep McCotter on 6/14/2009

"ALL the figures compared 01 to 07 or 08 so I don't know where you're getting the idea the employment were for only one month. You might want to work on your reading comprehension."

Libby Spencer lying on 1/9/2009

"In the first place, if we're to assign blame on that basis, the Republicans held the majority in Congress for twelve years between 1995 and 2007"

Libby Spencer lying on 3/7/2009

Need more Ms Spencer? Plenty more where those whoppers came from
