The liberals are more concerned about their own personal selfishiness than they are the broader society

It amazes me that the far left says our problem is that we don't "listen" and that if we don't that we aren't worthy to have our own views heard. Let me first state that there is a significant difference between hearing and agreeing. The mere fact that we may here something is by no means a requirement to nod our head in agreement. That is really what the left is complaining about anyway when they say we on the right don't listen.

A lot of cultural liberals probably don't realize that at one time I use to share their views. I think it's fair to say that I've also considered their arguments. The fact that I ultimately arrived at a different conclusion was the product of personal choice and not because of any sense that I am "close-minded." I will take one logical retraction from that discourse however, unlike modern liberals, I didn't blame religion for disagreement with my views.

There's nothing wrong with saying, "My life is not okay. Everything is not working out according to my expectations. I'm not a happy person." In act, it's not until we come to that place of humble realism that we can begin to explore new opportunities. The ways you're clinging to, which are actually causing your problems and social confusion, are not some forever state that can't change as the liberal elite advise.

The evidence is so way beyond clear, but they ignore the obvious only because they resist change. You don't have to be a homosexual or an alcoholic forever as they say. They want you to feel like you're in that state of perpetual hopelessness only so they can satisfy their own greed to living off your despair. It's such a shame their extremism has become so political but they deny reality even in the face of overwhelming evidence.

Good Day

Google is your friend. Screen captures for bargain rates. And these are old references. I've seen other references to bargain rates since then.

Libby quote: "Chris, I believe it was Walmart that was offering the Palin book for five bucks. I'd bet if you google the name of the book and five dollars together you might find it..."

WalMart is selling the book for $14.50: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=12558252. I also "Googled" the book and that is the cheapest I have seen it. You can get a copy for donating $100 to some different piltical organizations, but this is not what you said in your post. Your response confirms my suspicions that you simply made it up:

Libby's previous quote: Considering I've seen the book discounted as low as around five bucks and even offered for free as a bonus for subscribing to one of the right wing websites...

If you can not provide a source to back up your claims for the $5 book or the website subscription, please update your post or print your retraction here ===>

On a side note, "Audacity of Hope" is available on Amazon for $7.99 and I have a source:

Libby Spencer - Retraction/Correction Needed

Libby quote: "Update: Since I've posted this I've heard that Cafe Press suspended sales of the t-shirt after being informed of the content of the whole Psalm."

Libby and those of her progressive ilk are happy to supress expression of dissent, while similar t-shirts inciting violence against Bush go ignored (see previous comments below).

Libby quote: "If you look up that passage in the Bible it starts: "Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow."

Libby should probably purchase a Bible and learn to read it, because she is factually mistaken:

Psalm 109, Verse 8: "Let his years be few and brief; let others step forward to replace him."

The parts of that Psalm she claims "incite violence" are NOT the verse cited on the shirt!!!

Libby, please admit your Biblical error here ===>

Please address TDC's point that your "conservative" claim was also in error here ===>

Libby Spencer - Retraction/Correction Needed

Libby Spencer wrote in part "a few days ago a Port Huron newspaper was threatened by an angry conservative who called in and said she was going to go all Ft. Hood on their office because they dared to print an editorial criticizing Candice Miller"

Ms Spencer..from your own source "The Gannett daily's Web site stated that a call came into a Gannett customer service center in Louisville, Ky., from a 60-year-old unidentified woman last Thursday."

There was no identification of the womans political affiliation. Your claim that she was a "conservative" is not supported by any factual evidence

Feel free to retract your claim that she was a "conservative" here ====>

Wouldn't it be a sad shame

Wouldn't it be a sad shame if the Sheikh and his cohorts filed a civil suit alleging "torture" and were allowed to walk away millionaires, especially after they plotted crimes against the United States that resulted in death, and further plotted the assassinations of two U.S. Presidents?

Thanks Barrack

Bringing Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and other al Qaeda to US soil to be tried in US Courts could result in Acquittal and Complexity

Former President's Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton both owe George Bush a debt of thanks in the capture of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who admitted he was planning or had planned attempted assassination plots on both of them. In the case of Clinton, in the Phillippines. You'll never hear one ounce of gratitude coming out of the mouths of either former President for it. Guaranteed you'll hear all their spun criticisms in the press though. Did they ever publically say thanks? No.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed trial certainly complicates the possibilities of obtaining a conviction against him. Most of the evidence obtained by the government through the interrogation program instituted by the prior administration will probably have to be tossed. That even includes any of the evidence that might have been obtained by the government, which externally corroborates a factual element or material fact of substance that can be linked to activities associated with the Sheikh's detention while in U.S. custody and any of his confessions will be meaningless. It may also result in a court dropping the charges against him because of his treatment while in custody.

The next hurdle will be what the defense is lawfully entitled to in terms of discovery from the government in the case of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. This will make the system even more complicated because then you have to handle revelations about classified information. Is that to the detriment or the benefit of the Sheikh? All that will have to be processed effectively making his trial very complicated, time consuming, and expensive. Then their attorney's may even look at the possibility of filing a civil suit under the Torture Victims Protection Act if the are allowed on U.S. soil along with legal motions under the Alien Tort Claims Act. Oh boy...
