The Detroit News

Halloween comes to Green Bay early

OH MY, that was scarrrrry, and are we officially done with the quarterback controversy, play Stafford, always, no matter how many picks he has. Every pick he has this year will be one less next year, its science, trust me. From the opening kickoff, that was run back for a td, a holding call negated the score but those calls are always questionable, to the interception on fourth down in the end zone to seal the shutout victory for the Pack, that game was frightening. I knew it was going to be bad, due to injuries, but after the first 5 games, I was enjoying the Lions, they were in most part competitive, although over matched. That game was bad and the players know it. Yes, big names were injured but come on; you still have to go on the field. Hopefully Stafford and Johnson will be back next week because I don't know if the rest of the team is going to show or not.

About this Weblog

These are the photos you don't see in the pages of The Detroit News. They are outtakes. Extra shots taken between assignments. Images that caught a photographer's eye for one reason or another -- their wit, their action, their compelling content, their universal appeal. We asked our Detroit News photographers to post their favorites to this blog and tell us about the circumstances under which each was taken. Taken together, they give you a good sense of what our staff photographers are up to.
