Smokers Rights

Pete,

I have a response to you and your wife;

Put 100 people in a closed room for 1hour, all of them smoking.......1 hour later you open the door and they are all alive.

Put 100 non smokers in the same room with a 1 car running,

1hr later open the door....they are all dead.

I hope you leave your car window open all the time when its running....get it?

Part-time

Pete,

I find this disheartening:

There was a bit of disagreement on the possibility of the legislature choosing to float their own part-time work proposal. But when push came to shove, the panel agreed that even the most powerful and divine plan to trim Lansing lawmakers' hours, perks and income is destined to end up folded, stapled, spindled and mutilated...

Instead of these men, with their power of print, taking a stand, they would just like to right this off. I feel thats one of the problems today, there is no discussion of the implications of change, just the percieved notion. Thats the same attitude that got us into Iraq. No discussion, the powers that be knows what is good for us.

You hear more about who slept with who than real polical discussion. When will the press look at the ideas of a person, rather than who cut their hair and how much it costs. Do I care if Debbie Stabenows husband paid $150 for a hooker?...not one bit. I do care on her votes on legislation, why don't the papers print this information

everytime and keep track on each legislators votes?

We value your feedback, so please let us know if you have any questions or problems.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
