I didn't think it was that complicated, but I'll be glad to go over it again.
1) While it's only natural to note that the capacity of Ford Field is 65,000 and assume that's the number of seats that must be sold to avoid a blackout, the number is actually lower.
2) It was more important for the Lions to get the blackout lifted -- meaning to sell the 4,000 remaining cheaper tickets -- than to collect a greater sum of money by selling the expensive seats.
