Parker, Polamalu on Steelers' injury report; Lions' list much longer
Whether it's good news or not for the Lions is hard to say, given last week's 165-yard day for Rashard Mendenhall, but Steelers running back Willie Parker still appears doubtful for Sunday's game against the Lions.
He missed last week's win over San Diego with a toe injury, and he didn't practice Wednesday. Neither did guard Chris Kemoeatu (ankle), while safety Troy Polamalu had limited participation as he tries to return from a sprained MCL suffered in the season opener.
For the Lions, a half-dozen starters missed practice today; QB Matthew Stafford, WR Calvin Johnson, RT Gosder Cherilus, DT Sammie Hill, DE Dewayne White and S Ko Simpson. Of those, I think Johnson, Cherilus and possibly Hill have the best chance to play Sunday -- I'd be very surprised if No. 81 was sidelined -- but that's mostly just guesswork, thanks to the new "Ask, but they won't tell" injury policy in Allen Park.
