Lions re-sign Foster, add Dylan Gandy
The Lions have re-signed backup tackle George Foster and another free-agent lineman, guard/center Dylan Gandy, a four-year NFL veteran who spent last season with Denver and Oakland. Foster, 28, played in four games for the Lions last season, making three starts. Gandy, 27, played his first three seasons in Indianapolis. Both players agreed to one-year deals.
The Lions, who hosted top draft prospect Eugene Monroe, an offensive tackle from Virginia, on Friday, continue to add roster depth on the line. Last month, the team also signed guard James Blair, a Detroit native and former Western Michigan player who spent his rookie season with Cincinnati in 2008.
