Frazier's visit to La La Land
Some more details have emerged about Leslie Frazier's finalist interview for the St. Louis Rams coaching vacancy on Tuesday. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the day-long interview in Los Angeles -- where the Rams owner lives -- went well, and the feeling was mutual. So the question is whether that makes him the favorite in St. Louis -- that was my guess last week -- and how it might affect his plans to visit Detroit. I still haven't heard that he has scheduled that expected second interview here this week. I'd be surprised if he didn't, but stay tuned.
As for today, the Lions were scheduled to interview San Diego Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera in Houston, site of this week's East-West Shrine Game practices. I'll bet the Lions are doing a little work on finding that front-office personnel hire there as well. Mayhew spent yesterday and today in Houston with a couple hundred other NFL scouts.
