For everyone who has been so nice to talk to me this week as I told the stories of the Woodward Dream Cruise, thank you. Covering the cruise is a tiresome but great time.
For everyone who participated in the Woodward Dream Cruise, thank you. It's the collective group that makes the cruise and not any one thing that makes it so special.
While there may be businesses towing billboards and people selling things, the cruise endures because many Detroiters love their cars and that passion is felt year-round, not just in August.
More horsepower to the people!
Have a great night, weekend and summer. See you next year.

Dream Cruise
Of course Detroit WAS ONCE the Motor Capital of THE WORLD, but let's not hang the word DETROITERS onto any aspect of the cruise. The Detroit we know today is a decaying shell of what it was even 30 years ago.
The Cruisers of old ALWAYS cruised north of 8 mile, not because of racial issues or any other bias. Mostly because of the Big Boy, at 10 mile, the Totem Pole, the Suzy Q.,etc... I take offense to you calling me a Detroiter just because I own and show off a classic car.
Don't push your politically correct opinion onto us, as well as insulting us by being so PC. I REALLY used to love Detroit, but, now, I only go through there to get to Ohio and other points south.
