Kenneth Brown hosts TLC's

We've all been there. You start to collect something (bunnies, in my case; stuffed bears, flamingos) and pretty soon your house or apartment is overflowing with them. Friends give them to you as birthday or Christmas gifts, and you simply can't bear to part with any of them.

That's where TLC's new series "Over Designed," hosted by design expert Kenneth Brown comes in. It airs 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20. In each half-hour episode, Kenneth will visit one overzealous homeowner who has taken a motif to the extreme. Using his celebrated design sensibility, he will enlist the help from family and friends, and they will turn these rooms into inviting and livable spaces for the whole family to enjoy, while continuing to honor the nominee's passions.

"The series will strive to celebrate each person's unique design sense of style, but will help streamline their look and offer ways to better celebrate their collections," explains Kenneth.

Here's a rundown on upcoming episodes:

PALM TREE PARADISE: 9/20/2008. Patti's palm tree design obsession has taken over the entire house. Family and friends stage a design intervention for a palm tree-free room. With Kenneth's design expertise, he transforms two rooms into a resort oasis without palm trees for all to enjoy.

PENGUINS: 9/27/2008

Marie's penguin design obsession has taken over her entire life. Her boyfriend Chris stages a design intervention for a penguin free bedroom. With Kenneth's design expertise, he transforms their bedroom that suits both of their styles.

AFRICAN KING: 10/04/2008

Tyler's obsession with all things Africa is taking over his life and bedroom. James, his friend, says Tyler's addiction is romantically crippling him. With Kenneth's design expertise, he creates a beautiful oasis that functions as an adult bedroom.

HAWAIIAN: 10/11/2008

Debbie's Hawaiian theme obsession has taken over the spare bedroom and her family can't take it anymore. With Kenneth's design expertise, the family works to turn the wasted space into a great multi purpose room everyone can enjoy.

Drug Interventions

You cannot watch someone killing himself without doing anything. If someone has a knife and wants to kill himself. You will do anything to stop him. Drugs is the same thing. It is just a longer process.
