Monica Conyers
When is Monica Conyers going to be sentenced? Is she making more deals in order to stay out of prison? Monica made a mockery out of her position on council. She should be in jail just for her bad behavior as well as a long prison sentence for taking bribes. Monica just goes to prove, "you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear."
JoAnn Watson
Here we go again, more lies from JoAnn Watson. First, she tells the lie about a tornado hitting her house and claims she is unaware she is not paying her garbage fee and property taxes. Now, she pretends she did not know she was walking into a movie set. What else is she lying about? Why does Ms. Watson need a police escort to go to the bank? If she is dealing with a lot of money then she needs to pay ALL her back taxes and not a portion of them. Voters of Detroit, I hope you are paying attention. JoAnn Watson should NOT be reelected.
Tinsley-Talabi
This city needs action and not prayer. With all the years Tinsley-Talabi has been on council, she can see that prayer does not work. If she had stood up and been counted when Monica Conyers, JoAnn Watson and Barbara Rose Collins were at their height of race baiting, she might not be in trouble in the polls. I think she is a decent woman but she was swayed by the haters. I would rather see her back on council than "Tornado Hit My House" JoAnn Watson.
Annivory Calvert
The only call Ms. Calvert hears is the ring of the paycheck if she is elected to council. Here is a woman who became pregnant by Mayor Coleman Young, who was thirty two years older than her. Annivory was a city worker and the good mayor denied Joel Loving/Coleman Young Jr. was his child until he was forced to take a paternity test. They never married. Recently, we read in this newspaper that Ms. Calvert is unemployed and despite her son being a State Representative, who still lives with his mother, she is years behind in her property taxes. We have enough losers on the present council who need to be replaced. Voters of Detroit, please don't be fooled again.
Dancing In The Streets
I am an old woman who votes in every election. I did NOT vote for Kwame, Monica, JoAnn, Barbara Rose or Martha. If the young people had voted, they would not have been elected. Get your facts straight, before you lump all old women in the "I voted for the crazy, race baiters and do nothing members of council".
Sharon McPhail
I have difficulty using Sharon McPhail and Ethics in the same sentence. Sharon McPhail is another one in this city who needs give it up and find another job besides creating a disturbance and conflict in the city. She and her buddy Monica Conyers still think Kwame is the Mayor and will do what ever it takes to make the life of Ken and Sheila Cockrel miserable. Sharon and Monica need to get a grip. It is a matter of time before they both explode.
