Extra! Extra! Monica Conyers appears in public!

Monica Conyers has been laying low since pleading to bribery and quitting the City Council this summer, but she could be ready to paint the town again.

Snoops spotted the controversial wife of U.S. Rep. John Conyers on Thursday night at the 14th Congressional District town hall meeting at Northwest Activities Center. Conyers only stayed for a few minutes, but it's the first sighting of her in several months.

Conyers has been out of sight -- and possibly out of Detroit -- while she awaits her sentencing on a federal bribery conspiracy charge. A date hasn't been set.

The Insider doesn't want to get our hopes up, but could this mean Conyers is ready to reclaim her weekly call-in show WHPR-TV 33? She dropped from the airwaves not long after vowing to not only keep the program but change its name from "Ask the Councilwoman" to a title suggested by Insider readers -- "Just Sayin' with Monica Conyers."

We'll be watching Tuesday with our fingers crossed.

Old Lovely Moho

Sad to say Monica Conyers is just a small fry version of the bigger fish like Cheney and Bush who should be in prison with Alan Greenspan. Just a few names who orchestrated the largest heist of the US Treasury in history.

Monica Conyers

When is Monica Conyers going to be sentenced? Is she making more deals in order to stay out of prison? Monica made a mockery out of her position on council. She should be in jail just for her bad behavior as well as a long prison sentence for taking bribes. Monica just goes to prove, "you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear."

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Monica needs to be in JAIL. And the press needs to push to find out why she hasn't been sentenced.

Old Lovely Moho

It tickles me to see Monica Walking around in public while any other person who did what she did would be in the prison system by now and would have never been given any kind of deal like her husband John " I'm the old king of the House " Conyers did!!! But the worst part about this type of JUSTICE, AND IT REALLY ISN'T JUSTICE AT ALL, IS SHE IS NOW GOING TO FLAUNT THIS MIS-JUSTICE IN EVERY ONE'S FACE!!!

What makes people so darn proud to be Americans is the fact that this type of action is OK by JUDGES IN DETROIT! MOHO, STILL DOESN'T HAVE A SENTENCING DATE, WHICH MEANS SHE DOESN'T HAVE A DATE TO REALLY GO INTO PRISON FOR HER SENTENCE, WHICH MEANS SHE STILL COULD STAY OUT OF PRISON FOR HER APPEAL!! And this is exactly what Thomas Jefferson and his buddies meant when they dreamed up the Constitution and the Bill of Rights!!! Those Men who fought for us years and years ago said, MOHO will need some help one day, she will RIP OF FORT DETROIT, AND WILL LAUGH AT THE CONSTABLE AND NEED TIME FOR HER LAWYER, LETS GIVER HER 2 YEARS TO FIGURE HOW TO GET OUT OF THIS MESS, THOMAS, AGREED!! God I do love History so much!!!

Please Monica and John Conyers, when this is done and you get the message from the JUDGE, TIME SERVED, ONE DAY!!! PLEASE LEAVE DETROIT, BECAUSE WE HAVE ALL HAD ENOUGH OF YOU AND YOUR LYING, CHEATING, STEALING, FAMILY,THROUGH-OUT THE WHOLE STATE OF MICHIGAN OK? THANK YOU , SO MUCH, DAN1958-HAZEL PARK, MI 48030

Why is Conyers not sitting in a jail cell right now?

Why haven't the courts sentenced this criminal?

Why is she allowed to leave the country?

Could it be Old John is using his influence?

Just want to know the truth!!!!!
