I must applaud Ms. Lograsso for her insight. I agree! In light of the nation's record deficit spending, it does seem frivolous to me to incur an expense for technology development that's best left to the private sector. To set the record straight,[thesushi], Microsoft, Apple & Intel became public companies in 1986, 1984 & 1986, respectively. This is 15 to 17 years after the lunar landing. There are numerous other ways to invest in our future technology. How much money would we be spending on going to Mars? Should that money be spent to find cures for cancer, diabetes, etc., as well as, alternative energy sources. The list can go on and on. These are the type of tough decisions that should be part of our national debate.
