Enter giveaway to win copy of "Sock Innovation" book

If you're an advance knitter looking for unique sock patterns, then you'll appreciate knitwear designer Cookie A's recently published book, "Sock Innovation, Knitting Techniques & Patterns for One-of-A-Kind Socks (Interweave/$22.95), which offers 15 of her original designs.

Select from socks with unique stitch patterns in both closely-knit and open-work designs. Each pattern includes easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions along with a stitch diagram.

"Beginning with the fundamentals of sock construction and stitch manipulation, "Sock Innovation" leads readers on a guided tour through the process of imagining and creating your own unconventional sock patterns," reads the book's back cover.

If you'd like a chance at winning a copy of the book, just email me at jbrown@detnews.com and tell me a little about one of your most advanced knitting projects. Put the word "socks" in the subject line, and REMEMBER to include your name and address.

Good Luck and Happy Knitting!!!

Sock Innovation

Thank you so much for the book, I got it in the mail today.

Actually, I'd lingered over it for a while at Borders Book Store this morning, but had somehow managed to leave it there.

I will continue to be inspired by and enjoy your column!

Thanks again,

Suzanne Deal-Fitzgerald
