Polanski = criminal

Your position of this stuns me George, you're usually a pretty straight-thinking guy...

Polanski is a convicted felon who escaped the US after being convicted but before being sentenced...

This means that the wishes of the victim (though I am happy she has moved on), have absolutely NO bearing on this matter. This is now a rule-of-law matter...

He was convicted in a US court of law, that makes him a criminal. He has yet to serve any time for this...

As such, he should serve the sentence for his original crime and any additional punishment associated with his escape.

Letting Polanski go free sets a dangerous precedent for other cases...

O'Reilly...

Have you ever watched O'Reilly?

He is one of the few newscasters who actually goes out of his way to present both side of the story. Try finding that on other "news" broadcasts.

O'Reilly's got plenty of love... Based on his steady ratings gains, his nightly audience is now larger than ABC News. So are you sure "fringe" is the right word?

We value your feedback, so please let us know if you have any questions or problems.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
