Chrysler Mexico chief sets targets

Joseph ChamaSrour, CEO of Chrysler de Mexico, said the automaker managed to maintain its 10 percent share of the market this year despite a 27 percent decline in the auto industry. In fact, Chrysler gained 0.5 percentage points through September, while Volkswagen, Nissan Motor Co., Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Co. all posted declines.

Chrysler wants to boost its market share to 11.6 percent by 2014 and sell 118,000 vehicles, which would be a 43 percent increase, ChamaSrour said.

Chrysler has 115 dealerships in Mexico.
