I'm sure the people at PETA abstain from wearing leather belts or shoes or anything else that might have an impact on animals, but the group's crusade to keep leather seats out of cars and trucks isn't likely to get far.
As Eric notes, one can take the opposite argument about leather seats, too.
I'll throw in one more. Leather seats are a necessity if you have kids. Try wiping puke or juice or other fluids off cloth seats and you'll know why.
